Amy's Story

Amy is a single mother working hard at a typical office job. It’s a good job, but she feels stifled because she’s an entrepreneur at heart, so what she really wants is to start her own business.

She has a great idea and starts to work on it. It’s not even very complicated, requires very little capital, doesn’t expose her to a lot of risk, and there should be some good demand for it.

But then reality hits.

She knows how to provide the service and do good work. But she can’t expand her business past the clients that she had ready to go before she even started. She receives some assistance from local small business organizations and even an incubator, but those programs only provide limited services and don’t think about her long-term success.

She goes to professional training and realizes that she hasn’t differentiated herself, but getting help with this isn’t free.

Her Excel spreadsheets aren’t good at tracking her opportunities or finances, but getting help with that isn’t free.

Her social media efforts aren’t getting any traction even with her friends, but getting help with that isn’t free.

And on and on…with more nickels and more dimes…

The amount of time she was spending on things she knew she needed to do, but wasn’t good at, was increasing and wasn’t yielding more clients. And what if she got those clients? Would she be able to keep up with her business AND do all the things moms need to do?

Imagine if there was a better way. There is! Tune in next time for more…
