Let’s break it down like this: Complex problems are typically a bunch of simple problems put together. Yes, they then grow and ooze like a cancer or a sci-fi toxic spill, but at the core, it’s a bunch of simple little things.

What does this mean?

It means many things, but one big thing is that the myopic, click-baiting answers in modern politics and media are far too over-simplified. For instance, the issues with US healthcare aren’t just about insurance. There are intersecting and interactive problems in every part of the industry as well as corrupt influences in the halls of power.

What is the solution?

It’s complex – and complex solutions are really just a bunch of simple solutions put together.

Yes, it’s a bit simplified, but social media is impatient.

In this complex web of issues impacting our culture, we see a place where we can have a real, lasting impact by:

• Partnering with small businesses to bolster the core of our economy
• Nurturing the families in those businesses to start healing the heart of our community
• Incorporating faith at the core to inform behaviors and practices to help heal the soul of our culture

Do you have some skills but not a lot of time? That’s great! Sometimes we need input, some extra eyes on a document, or a little research in an area of expertise. It’s not a lot, but it would be a huge help for us.

Advocates

Sometimes the little things go a long way. How about getting notified whenever we post on social media, we provide you links, and you follow them and like + comment + repost. 1 minute. Is that too much? Or how about keeping us front-of-mind and connecting them with us. Nothing special, just organically as part of normal conversations. Every little bit helps and we’re looking for an army of champions to each spend a minute or two once in a while.
